Johnny Dusseldorf Country and western singer extraordinare.

Born and raised in the quiet country town of Dunmore, Co. Galway, Johnny Dusseldorf has been wowing audiences and winning countless admirers from Tuam to Ballyhaunis. With his trademark rasping croon and stellar showmanship, Johnny transforms every gig he plays into an event. Johnny can reinterpret any song, good or bad, in his own inimitable fashion.

Johnny fell in love with music at an early age, listening to his parents George Jones and Merle Haggard albums. An epiphany came upon him after hearing Kris Kristofferson at thirteen years of age, and modelling himself on the great man, Johnny took up the guitar. After carrying it around for a few years he learnt to play it. Upon his sixteenth birthday, Johnny took a trip stateside and honed his chops in the bars and clubs of Nashville and Texas, staying there for over five years. The scene wasn't quite ready for Johnny's unique talents, gigs were scarce, and anxious to bring some class to Country, Johnny returned to the land of his birth and the source of his early inspiration.

Now, at last, the wait is over. Local indie label Tart Records is proud to announce the release of Johnny's highly anticipated debut album, Johnny Does Country. Mixing standards like "Orange Blossom Special" and "Pay Me My Money Down" with originals such "I'm So Broke I Can't Even Afford Dogfood" and "The Night My Bowels Died", this album will be a feast for any true music lover.

"The best country and western singer to come out of the west since screaming Pat Cattails O'Shea" Farmers Journal.
